Tape Life is changing.
On the surface, Tape Life appears to be a small digital indie label with twelve compact releases of music from Karl Mohr.
Behind the scenes, Tape Life is an enormous steamer ship, a groaning metal hull in the frozen midnight air, steering away from oncoming icebergs, in the steadfast pursuit of securely delivering its passengers intact on distant shores. After years of re-tooling an unfathomably huge catalogue of material, and contending with the inevitable onslaught of six new Karl Mohr releases, Tape Life is emerging with new resolve. The new direction of the music may surprise and delight.
In the interim, Karl Mohr’s Patreon has been quietly growing in advance of its public unveiling. Tier subscription costs are low while they are under development. For scrape-subbers, the buying of downloads will eventually be possible at the Patreon storefront, in hopes that this addresses that unique style of support.

From his early experiments starting in 1987, Karl Mohr Audio-Yo constantly rode the line between DJ culture and Alternative music. After the electronic round-up album The Heck in 1997, Karl Mohr shifted into serious songwriting, resulting in the 2000 release, The End Of The Line.
